A living disciple once reminded me of the importance of working from ‘the power of love and not the love of power’. His message challenged many and yet he lived it and spoke it anyway - fearlessly and with conviction.
The importance of this message will never diminish, in fact, it is gaining importance with every world event that clamours for our attention. His poignant message resurfaced today when I came across Jimi Hendrix’s quote, ‘When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace’. I love how some of our most insightful messages are relayed from our creatives, don’t you?!
Imagine!
Energetically, we know the importance of working from the heart, of loving what we do, because that is what aligns us with our abundance - all the good that is rightfully ours.
And yet, much in our world still comes from the latter.
Imagine…
What if we choose our leaders because they are wise and loving?
What if we trust it is safe to follow our hearts?
What if we let ourselves be our genuine selves?
What if we let expectations of ourselves and others dissolve?
What if we accept change is okay?
What if we remember how unimportant ‘things’ are and that our relationships with ourselves, others, and our planet are what that truly matter?
What if we remember every human and non-human being on the planet is fundamentally energy, and that we are one?
What if we remember each time we hurt another, we are hurting ourselves?
What if we trust that we are only playing a role here in the physical?
And that once we return to the non-physical we will wonder how we ever became so swept up in the illusion that we forgot the unconditional love we are?

Bound by Fear or Focused on Love
Wherever we stand, it is by choice. If your conscious mind, as mine once did, shrinks with a shiver of fear at the thought of being ‘different’, perhaps it is time to ask, which part of you is in charge?
Is it the conscious mind / Ego / personality? Or is it your sovereign self?
Again, as I once did, you too may be wondering, how do I know which is which?
Well, if we can notice our swirling thoughts, or unbidden mental chatter, then we cannot also BE our swirling thoughts and unbidden chatter.
Our sovereign self observes the Ego.
And our sovereign self can reclaim the reins from our overthinking mind and steer us in a better direction, a direction guided from the heart.
