Connection to our Guides, the Divine, and our Greater Purpose - Week 4
Shifting from Ego to Spirit: Dive deeper into greater understanding of the path to inner peace and clarity through stillness.
Check in and a Week 3 Recap: The Power of Compassion
So how are you all being?
Loving and holding compassion for ourselves can be such a big step, especially when we / our Higher Self continue to test us with our experiences and external chaos. We know consciously and / or somewhere deep within that we are worthy of unconditional love. Yet simultaneously, we can become so entrenched in our limiting patterns that we flex old habits of judgment and self-criticism without even realising it!
With this acknowledgement and deep compassion, how did you go embracing your struggles, imperfections, and humanity with love and understanding?
Slowly, gently, and with firm insistence, we shift away from judgment and into a higher state of being.
Take your Journal and give yourself a little time to reflect on the past week’s experiences. Did you reframe challenges or ‘mistakes’, as opportunities for growth and evolution?
How are you feeling about the daily prayer / intent offering? Are you noticing any changes in the symptoms you recorded in your first week?
Perhaps, all you are feeling at the moment is the desire to take a little time out to connect with stillness. That is wonderful too!

Connection to our Guides, the Divine, and our Greater Purpose
Let’s continue our journey of presence and deepen our connection to the wisdom within. I have come to understand that we each bring a host of loving guides into this lifetime. Some are with us from birth and others join us for a time and leave again. Further, as fragments of Source energy, or All that Is, we also have an energetic cord that links us to our Higher Self for the duration of our physical lifetime.
Effectively, we are surrounded by energetic beings and means to be guided as we flounder about in the physical illusion called life on Earth. Yet how many of us regularly access this spiritual part of us - or even know about it?
Busy Brains and Busier Egos!
Here are some home truths for our judgy, critiquing, defensive, competition driven, outcome attached, fearful, and validation seeking Egos:
Dear Brain
I am not you.
You are the persona I use to experience this physical life.
I know you have fears of relevance, yet the greater part of me knows many lifetimes and infinite existence. I am safe. You are safe.
You are part of me I can train to work for me rather than the other way around.
You may bring me observations, but your true role is to find ways to make my heart happy.
I decide whether I follow your suggestions or engage with your fears, not the other way around.
With love,
Michelle
NOTE: If you feel you have a master/slave relationship with your brain in charge and need further support, consider investing in the module, Remember your Divine Self. I wrote this guide as a result of years of clinical practice that explains and offers strategies to tame the mind with love. Michael Singer’s small but dense text, The Untethered Soul, is another highly useful resource.
How to Recognise the Ego vs the True Self?
The first inspiration or thought comes from our hearts. It is our Higher Self and guidance. The subsequent thoughts that come in to reframe, discount or challenge our desires are the Ego, operating from fear or lack.
We can choose not to engage with these secondary thoughts.
Accessing Deeper Guidance
For this week’s exercises, you will need to keep an open mind and hold the possibility that you are able to connect with your guides and guidance. If we can’t use our imagination for this and doubt this is possible, we will generally attract the experience that matches. Sometimes it helps to remember that our Egoic mind is a function related to the physical body and ceases to be at the end of this lifetime. Our Divine fragment and Higher Self or Being, continues infinitely.
So, for this week, we are sinking into our imagination, looking for magic and trusting that all we need is coming to our awareness in Divine right timing.
ESSENTIAL ACTIVITY for Week 4
Daily Prayer / Intent
As discussed last week, we are growing our vibration and contributing to All that Is with every thought, word or action we create.
Each day this week aim to offer a prayer or hold intent to create a space of light, gratitude, and healing. Use the prayer you have written or find one that works for you as you hold gratitude, ask for guidance, send love outwards and give thanks. There is no right or wrong here.
If it feels right, continue to use Hopo ono pono from Week 3 to gently redirect your critical thoughts - it has become part of my stream of consciousness, popping in any time judgment or irritation arise.
Finally, this experience is not to become onerous. If there is only one thing you choose to do this week, please continue with the prayer in silent space. The rest is optional and something you may choose to come back to at another time.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES for Week 4
Steps for greater connection
This week we strengthen awareness of our non-physical selves and supports by using shorted, guided meditations and other activities to connect with our Higher Self and guidance. Choose what resonates for you when you are ready. Again, we trust in Divine timing. If this doesn’t FEEL right for you, complete the prayer only.
Meditation 1 - Remember who you are
Listen to the meditation and then journal what comes to mind. This is an activity that can be repeated as often as you like.
Meditation 2 - Separation from Source, supports you to release anxiety about your physical experience and non-physical being. Again, it can be repeated as needed.
Rate your anxiety level before you begin as instructed at the start of this meditation. Journal your response and notice how anxiety decreases.
Meditation 3 - Access your Guides
Be ready to journal what comes into your awareness through this meditation. How will you be adopting the advice given?
Meditation 4 - Meet your Spirit Companions
Remember to journal your experience. Journaling is a powerful way to anchor your thoughts and growing understanding of yourself as spirit and the energetic guidance around you.
Other Methods to Connect with Guides
Oracle Cards - Find a beautiful deck that you feel drawn to. Then,
Shuffle the cards to run your energy through them.
Hold the deck to your heart and ask your Higher Self, ‘What do I need for my highest good?’ or ask a specific question.
Then shuffle the deck until a card pops out, or fan, or split the deck to select a card. There are no mistakes, and you cannot get this wrong!
Record your message and reflect on what you have been shown in your Journal.
Open a Book - choose a book such as Louise Hays’, Heart Thoughts or any inspirational text.
Hold the book to your heart and ask your Higher Self, ‘What do I need for my highest good?’ or ask a specific question.
Then allow a page number to come to mind. Trust the first number that pops in, even if it is a favourite number. There is no need for overthinking here!
Or simply open the book to any page. Again, there are no mistakes.
Record your message and reflect on what you have been shown in your Journal.
Grow Awareness of your Guidance
Continue finding stillness for 15 minutes to allow your guides to get your attention.
See the Signs - You may begin to notice signs in your surroundings, such as repeated feathers, specific species of birds coming close to you - magpies seem to seek me out! - or certain numbers that regularly appear.
Use Google - when you notice that something has come into your awareness, guaranteed there is a message for you. Search “[Item] spiritual meaning” and open the first link you notice.

Already Accessing your Guides?
If you already connect with your guides, please continue! There is no need to adopt other methods if you already have strong guidance. I see the methods presented today as our training wheels - useful until we no longer need them.
Bovis Reading Update
Are we making a Difference?
When we understand we are co-creators, whether conscious or unconscious, we realise that our thoughts impact our physical experience. This is more than choosing to see the beauty in the world. The very focus on beauty, or compassion, or unconditional love moves energetic mountains. Our intent, a practiced skill through meditation or deliberate silence, influences existence on a particulate level and literally shapes our experience, world, universe…
The Bovis scale, mentioned in the introduction to The Experiment in the Power of Being, is a tool we can use to identify ascension and devolution by measuring energetic life force. As I began to obtain new readings, I realised that the past four weeks have aligned with powerful global events. The information and interpretation require more than a brief chapter so I have begun a further article to examine the energetic impact of our being and allow for insight to come through.
Onwards!
Trust you make a difference, because you do! In a recent discussion with a friend, we again revisited all we have done to move mountains, to make real difference in peoples’ lives. We agreed that there really was nothing left to ‘do’. What we hadn’t done over years of exhausting work, was BE. What if our real contribution to true balance for All that Is, unconditional love and abundance sit in the space of BEING? There is only one way to find out and I am delighted you are here with us.
If you love this, please acknowledge it! A ❤️, a donation, a subscription, a comment. I love that you are here and am blessed we share this journey.
Blessed be

My guides offer me encouragement as I continue my journey of spiritual awakening. I ask them, is there anything that needs my attention, to explore, to do?
At times there is no message just a transfer of overwhelming love, peace and joy 🧘🏼🙏🏻🩷
Thanks for another great article Michelle x I feel me moving towards being able to ‘be’ more often is more front of mind. I feel I am rushing a little less and am getting more ok with not having to achieve things every minute of every day. Giving myself permission to ‘play’ as such lol.
I loved your explanation in your letter to the brain that its role is to make the heart happy. I love that! Powerful!!
In my recent ‘soul chat’ I was told to rest, relax, yield, trust and be! Interesting 😂💜🙏
