Kulu
Kulu, 'Great' in Zulu, is my Great-grandmother Amy who shares her wisdom from time to time. This is a reminder of life's sweetness, and of our role and contribution as powerful co-creators.
Amy Cowles lived in South Africa for much of her life, a place she loved dearly, even adopting the Zulu title for grandmother. She is fondly remembered by my father as being loved by all and renowned for her ‘Pollyanna’ focus. I recently read that in later years there was no point in visiting her to ‘cheer her up’ because Kulu already was. The visitor inevitably left feeling better than they did when they arrived.
'Most generally there is something about everything that you can be glad about, if you keep hunting long enough to find it'. Pollyanna
What a beautiful insight and way to be in the world. A way that aligns with vibrational law. And a way that requires mental stamina.
Again, the realisation today is that we need nothing to be ‘better’ than to accept this moment is as it needs to be, and that all is unfolding as it must. This notion certainly raises a number of questions when we consider global trauma rising to the surface. Yet, rather than being swept up in the suffering we are reminded:
What has been hidden must surface in an invitation to heal.
What we resist grows.
In fact, what we place our focus on grows.
Our focus also matters because it determines our vibration.
Our vibration matters because it affects firstly us and our wellness, as well as the energetic whole to which we belong.
Divine Right Order
All in Divine right-order, means all is in Divine right order. The suffering, the joy, the aches, the bliss.
If we seek to avoid all we do not want, we inevitably attract more of that to ourselves. In and of itself, we came into the physical to feel. To avoid feelings is to seek to avoid the entirety of the experience.
Once we recognise this, we can allow all to come and go. To allow emotions to flow, to not become entrapped by feelings, and allow ourselves to BE.
Our Innate Power
In essence, our world is a manifestation of all the thoughts that have ever been.
Each of us is a veritable powerhouse of energy, Divine creators in our own right.
When we accept this, we stop blaming others or situations and circumstances, and harness our Egos. This does not mean to deny what is. Instead, we are invited to remember with compassion that All are One and refocus. Refusing to examine wrongs ends our energy contributing to more of what we don’t want. When we insist on celebrating the beauty around us we create more of how we want life to be. And yes, sometimes this means allowing others who are not ready to choose this yet to move on. They are not for you.
It is a simple vibrational equation of gratitude creating more to be grateful for.
Of course our Egoic mind will attempt to repeatedly drag us back to pain, suffering, chaos. This is a comfortably/uncomfortable pattern as we observe disaster and devastation, sinking our energies into despair. It is a familiar viewpoint that reinforces helplessness - ‘what can I, a single individual, possibly do to create change?’
For those of you who FEEL Earth’s trauma deeply, this article may help to navigate the energy.
This
ACT: Create change if it is within your ability by taking action and being the difference you want to see.
Does seeing our planet covered in trash upset you? Pick it up.
Does gossip bother you? Don’t participate in it physically or via media.
Violence and unkindness? Vow not to contribute through your thoughts or actions - either to others or yourself.
Feel strongly about the governance of council, state, nation, world? Do something about it with love and compassion. Endlessly talking about the ills of the world is vibration and an energetic contribution to more of the same.
ACT: Be the vibrational change we need and insist on refocusing on what you DO want. Strengthen your mental stamina and seek the beauty, the joy, and even the learnings in our individual and collective suffering. Again and again.
Clearing Trauma
And how many times will Earth and humans need to sink into trauma?
As many times as it takes to remember all are one and what we do to the least of us, we do to all.
As long as it takes to remember we do not end with the physical form, but in death are reborn into our true energetic selves, and that this form is without end.
As long as it takes to see trauma and travesty as an invitation to heal, to step out of low vibration cycles and create new ways of being.
As long as it takes to insist on healthy boundaries, where we command respect from others because we know we are infinitely deserving of our own respect.
To Heal
Kulu’s turquoise bracelet came to me.
For Native Americans, turquoise represents the link between Mother Earth and Father Sky; the feminine and the masculine. A cleanser, the sacred blue-green influences the throat chakra to speak our truth, silence the inner critic and calm the soul. Turquoise reminds us to extend to others what we desire for ourselves - joy, compassion, unconditional love, freedom - and expand beyond the insistence of ‘justice’ to attain a vibrational match of Cosmic oneness.
A Divine gift from Mother Earth to all.
Turquoise fits perfectly with Kulu’s message to us:
Life is sweet.
Let go of the heaviness you carry and be as light as the light you are. There is no need to carry others’ burdens - you truly have none of your own unless you choose to lumber around, burdened like an old one carrying the firewood upon your back. That may have been true in many lifetimes but that is not now.
Be you.
Be light.
Step easily into your knowing and trust all is well, for truly, All is Well.
Many fragments make a whole. More and more are remembering we are powerful creators - I see it in the ‘Be kind’ movement, for example. Are you noticing it too?
Please remember the infinite and unique fragment of light you are and understand that YOU, your focus and your contribution matters.
Blessings
