The Ocean Churns
Sharing insights from a day in December feels timely. Blessed be, dear ones. Let it BE.
Waves crash into the breakwall and spray rains down onto the path, the rocks, the sea spiders scuttling for purchase. I see the dark hand of the ocean grasping towards the shore.
If you love this, please acknowledge it! A ❤️, a share or restack spreads the word.
The air is smooth, lightly cooling and the humidity rises from Mother Earth.
I enjoy the feel of the cool wall floor beneath my feet and admire the skills of the foil board riders amongst the waves, the churn. How easily they ride her troubles as they smoothly cut their own path.
Gently curving to the left, I follow the path to the shore, stepping onto the warm sand.
Families mill about, doing their thing. A lone kelpie surveys the shoreline, their owner comfortably nested into the curve of the dunes.
I walk towards the shore and step into the rough bubbles that decorate the gray-green water.
Surveying all that sits between sky and Mother Earth, the rich clouds reveal vague patches of blue, the sweep of the shoreline and its rocky outcrops. I close my eyes and breathe, absorbing the sounds of the sea.
And then it all becomes so much brighter, the hand retracts, the sand sparkles and the waves appear more white than gray. Surely tricks of the mind - but I know better.
How to step from funk to joy?
As easy as this if you will allow it.
Time alone.
Reset in Nature.
For whatever reason you deny yourself this - temper it with the knowing that when you do find ways to create, to allow joy, you influence the whole.
It is as easy as this.
It is a simple decision, a choice you are free to make.
In everything or situation your choose to see the flow or the joy:
A Jet ski? - Irritating sound or exhilaration.
Man on his phone? Interruption to peace or laughter, a loving connection.
Kids squealing? Annoying or joyfilled.
Rough waves and gray sky? Dismal or variety, contrast and breathtaking.
With a final acknowledgement of this Divine landscape, I turn away from the waters edge and once again walk through the warm sand, homeward.
Life is easy smooth and complete.
Let it BE.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece and peace X
This is a whole initiation into seeing differently – the ocean doesn’t change, but we do, and that’s the alchemy. What I love most is how you capture the exact moment where reality shifts – when the mind lets go and the world suddenly glows in response. That’s it, isn’t it? That’s the secret. Joy isn’t a place you arrive at – it’s a frequency you tune into.
And the way you wove this into the rawness of the sea? Pure magic. Thank you for this one – it lands. 🌊✨
