Again the River Calls

If you know me, you know I love spending time away from crowds and being held in nature. Whether sinking onto and into Mother Earth’s arms, hugging a tree or ‘dunking my chakras’ in the ocean - love, love, love it!
Over the last few weeks, the river has been calling. On Friday, I stopped on my journey home to walk along the river - moving yet peaceful, and a welcome retreat from a four and a half hour drive. As I rounded the river bend, I discovered a heron and the cormorant, almost side by side, companionably fishing.
What a peaceful message.
When I returned to the road, the heavy traffic had diminished and it was a much easier drive for the remainder of the trip. Gratitude!
ALWAYS A MESSAGE
Heron: independence, renewal, clear vision, new path.
Cormorant: undaunted, tenacious, clear vision, balanced between water and air elements.
Then yesterday morning the River card once again appeared. It was a work day and on a whim, I contacted a beautiful friend, Joanna Palmer, who also feels it. Of course she was available! And so in between appointments and rainshowers we headed to Glenrock State Conservation area to visit the creek.
Imagine our delight to see the water from recent rain rushing over the rocks and towards the ocean! The fresh damp air, the Bellbirds in the background singing their appreciation for the sporadic sunshine. Glorious!
We continued on, dawdling, stopping on a whim to sit on the moss covered rocks and enjoy the sound of the water rushing onwards.

I have seen this creek at a standstill, a mere trickle making its way through the water way and over the boulders, dropping metres towards the next leg out to the sea. And it came to mind that regardless of what happens around it, the water always moves as is needed, according to its own timing, natural timing.
Sometimes resting in stillness and at other times moving forcefully and with purpose to its pre-determined destination in an unending cycle.
How interesting to see the contrast two days in a row!
This metaphor is not lost on me.
We have all been called to BE, and are stepping into a time driven by a powerful force as we move into alignment with our upgraded crystaline bodies and Christos/Sophia Consciousness.
Are we ready?
My will and Divine will are one, aligned with the Highest of High for all.
Bring it on!
