3 Reasons Why You're not Broken
It might feel like it sometimes but our hurts hold much greater purpose than we may think. Join me in exploring karmic energies and our metaphysical selves.
How often do we hear someone describe themselves as ‘broken’?
Yes, it may feel like life has thrown some mighty curveballs, yet we are not broken.
Everything you have experienced has brought you to this moment, and you are still here. You are so much more than your experiences and these curveballs contain opportunities to redirect.
Yet it always takes the right timing, Divine timing, to be ready to expand our awareness of our own pain.

1 On a Practical / Physical level
Every experience offers an opportunity to view it in a different way. When we are ready to look at our wounds or hurts, there are always deeper opposing strengths asking to be acknowledged. Whether courage, resilience, self-awareness, the ability to find support to go inwards, or a deep compassion for others, there is always SOMETHING significant that results from our wounds. And yes, at times it can feel like insurmountable loss and suffering to get to this point.
On a lesser scale our hurdles teach us something. On a grander scale we may be expanding our soul - or helping someone else to learn and evolve.
2 Doing our ‘Metaphysical’ Work
Our Divine Blueprint is not designed to literally ‘break’ us but guide us to better ways of being. It is a structured yet loose scaffold containing the goals we hold for this lifetime. These comprise of experiences we wish to have, awarenesses we wish to achieve while in the physical, including any karmic events we hope to resolve.
(A Word on Karma)
Remember karma is the unhealed energy created from action/reaction which follows us from lifetime to lifetime until we release ourselves from the pain cycle. The pain cycle refers to ‘tit for tat’ - an example is the current warring that is happening on Earth. Ancient grudges held by opposing parties that are whipped to violent actions to reclaim land and resources or avenge insult. This is then followed by the opposition retaliating with violence. This cycle cannot end until one party determines not to participate in the same way. We see this in lifetimes where people play victim/perpetrator roles until they choose to step away from the drama.
In this current time on Earth, it is no longer needed and so many, many, of us have identified that we wish to clear ALL Karmic imbalances and end it once and for all.
To my awareness, karmic energy is bound to the physical plane- humans and Earth herself- and can only be healed while in physical form. So, our healing and growth also has a significant impact on Mother Earth and the energies she carries.
Again, our aim as energetic beings planning a lifetime is not to ‘break’ us in the physical, but ‘break through’ limitations we accept for ourselves. Every time we move beyond pain and suffering to return to unconditional love, we are healing.
Wounds for Our Evolution
To ensure we do not miss our goals, we loosely plan a series of possible events that will bring our wounds to our awareness. In the physical each has freewill, and as infinite energy we cannot not plan a coming lifetime in detail. Being mindful of this, we create agreements with our Higher Self and with others’ energy to continue to bring events and experiences that will lead us along our path while in the physical. And it is always with the awareness we will come to recognise patterns in our right timing.
Continuing with the betrayal example, when we finally realise we have been betrayed by others for the umpteenth time and that a pattern exists, we can look to the common denominator - us. Time to unwind the old beliefs and heal the low vibe of underserving or unworthiness that attract betrayal. Now we can end people-pleasing, create healthy boundaries, and choose something much better for ourselves.
Pain with a metaphysical purpose.
Supporting Others
We may also exist as master energies - those who have achieved ascension and are now here to help others do the same. These souls agree to hold space for others to learn and return to unconditional love - even when it causes discomfort to themselves. Think of it as being similar to Mother Earth holding space for humanity to evolve and often not at a small cost to herself. The planning stage conversation often includes assurance:
Are you certain you want to play the role of persecutor for my evolution? What about karma you will create?
I love you and I believe in you. Think of the times you have done this for me! We are a team - of course I will play this role for you.

What a difference it can make to our thinking when we understand we are playing this role! As an aside, it does not mean we are bound to suffer in the physical - when we heal and release imbalances we return to homeostasis or a neutral position. If you feel you fall in this latter category, please see an energy healer for resolution.
3 Energetic Beings and Expansion
We can think of ourselves as the iceberg. We only see the surface in the physical, but there is always so much more. The further our experiences pull us downwards, the greater potential there is to move upwards - to find joy in degrees equal to the depths or our sorrows and greater. As energetic beings we wish to experience all things, or perhaps this time around we simply understand that to experience and heal low vibration energies will create expansion - for ourselves, our guiding angels and all of mass consciousness. More detail below in The Angels article if you are interested.
Stepping out of the illusion of the physical world - beyond “why is the Universe doing this to me?” and reframing it with “Why am I creating this for me?” allows us to look for the gifts.
Perhaps, it is an invitation to take a different direction, adopt new, healthier beliefs, or an opportunity to exercise unconditional love and choose something better. Whatever the message, addressing the wound always leads us back to ourselves.
When we finally refuse to be drawn into drama - others or our own - our awareness ascends.
Again, not broken.
What we choose to bury has the potential to destroy our inner peace, and what we face can be our greatest growth. As always, which we choose is up to us.
The Work
When we expect so much from ourselves, perhaps it’s no surprise that we feel overwhelmed or ‘broken’. Our traumas are generally not in this present moment, and so it really is our memory of trauma - and whether it drives us or we deal with it is up to us.
Let’s lighten our being by working to change our expectations to compassion and give ourselves time to be new versions of ourselves.
